The March of the Whales

The Quest starts by talking to Captain Sharn, who is docked in the ports of Nyrdnjir. Talking to him will reveal his ambition to catch a whale...but he needs help. Accept to help him and he'll tell you that North of the port is the Nordic Sea, otherwise known as the Sea of Storms. He needs you to collect the following items for yourself as he has no spares:

Whalling Harpoon
Raincoat hood
Raincoat body
Raincoat legs
Raincoat boots

The Harpoon can be bought off the Fisherman in the same port as the ship. The Raincoat peices can be bought at a nearby clothing store in the city of Brydnjir (Just take the boat down to Brydnjir, it costs 40gp) Once you have all the items, go back to Captain Sharn and tell him you have the items. He'll tell you to put on the raincoat peices and follow him onto the ship. He'll reveal that whales can only be caught by firing the harpoon out of a cannon and reeling it in. He'll ask you to give it a try. You give it a try and , if at first you don't succeed, shoot and shoot again. Eventually, you'll catch a Frostwhale. Captain Sharn will be very pleased with you and will tell you that you're now ready to become a fully fledged whaller. Just speak to him to go and whale some more.
